Display and design processing
In terms of design, both watches offer glass materials on the front, a stainless steel body, as well as durable aluminum materials. The circular design of the watch is elegant and the watch also differs in the width of the bracelet, especially the C2 + model, which is divided into men's and women's versions in this way. Both models include two physical buttons for additional control of Google's Wear OS.
On the display side, however, it has a significantly more expensive Pro model on top. It offers a touch 1,39 "AMOLED panel with a resolution of 400 x 400 pixels and that's still not all. The watch also has second display, which is layered in place of the primary one. This is an FSTN panel that resembles an e-Ink panel. This display is battery efficient, it is activated when the primary panel goes out.
The C2 + model offers a smaller touch 1,3 "AMOLED panel that has a resolution of 360 x 360 pixels. In this case, the secondary panel is not on the watch. However, the watch is cheaper and more elegant in design, and this can convince many users.
Connectivity
In terms of connectivity, more expensive but also cheaper watches offer Bluetooth technology. Wi-Fi, but also an NFC chip. The cheaper model includes Bluetooth 4.1 and Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n for connection to the phone, the more expensive Pro model subsequently includes Bluetooth 4.2 and Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n.
However, the problem occurs with the integrated chip NFC. This is offered by both models of smart watches, but on Slovakia due to localization it is not possible to use card payments with this service. The watch offers the Google Pay application, but the service is blocked. This is definitely a disadvantage if you are looking for a watch with the given functionality.
Internal memory
Internal memory resp. the storage of both watches is the same and makes 4 GB. Memory is equally available RAMwhich stopped at 1 GB. It is RAM that is responsible for running applications in the background and for Google's smooth Wear OS responses themselves.
In both cases, the combination with the older Qualcomm 2100 series processor may freeze, but the system is still very smooth and stable.
The internal storage will then be used to install all the necessary applications from Play Store. There are many WearOS applications available such as Google Fit, Messenger, Telegram, Spotify, Google Maps, Dexcom and many more.
Some applications work in combination with a smartphone (for example, your own dial designs), so you have even more options to customize the watch, its appearance and functions.
Great options with Wear OS
TicWatch Pro 2020 have integrated microphone aj speaker, so in combination with a smartphone you can easily call them and they will serve as such hands-free. There is also no possibility respond directly to notifications using a small keyboard or voice input.
We do not have personal experience with the TicWatch S2 + and this information does not appear on the manufacturer's website, so we cannot write with certainty whether they have a microphone and a speaker. Most likely, however, they also have this functionality.
As for the fitness function of this watch, the offer includes not only monitoring of sports activities, steps, heart rate, cadence and acceleration, but also directly GPS and GLONASS sensor.
This allows you to perform stand-alone activities directly on the watch and without a smartphone, even with synchronization, for example via Google Fit. In addition, the manufacturer announces on its official website other sports functions such as Proactive running or cycling, which will be available through the OTA update.
Battery life
Charging and battery life is also an equally important part of smart watch equipment. In both cases, charging is solved by means of a magnetic charger with a standard USB - A connector. The more expensive Pro model contains a battery with a total capacity 415 mAh, cheaper C2 + subsequently equal 400 mAh.
Endurance of the model TicWatch Pro 2020 varies at the level of 2 - 5 days depending on use. In the basic and limited mode (FSTN panel), the endurance is subsequently extended up to 30 days of use. The combined use then offers a spectrum of 2 - 30 days depending on the use. A watch TicWatch C2 + offer endurance of 2 days on a single charge with full use.
Price and availability
TicWatch Pro 2020, same as me TicWatch C2 + are currently available from international retailers. The price of the more expensive Pro model was set on the official website at 259 € / 259 USD. The cheaper and second named C2 + model received the award again 209 € / 209 USD.

The target group of both these watches may be slightly different. If you are looking for a more affordable smart watch with the WearOS system and also in a more elegant design, the model is a great choice TicWatch C2 +which offers not only a durable body, IP 68 certification, but also fitness features.
However, if you have a higher budget and want to invest, model TicWatch Pro 2020 offers an interesting solution with a monochrome panel, a larger battery and more accurate sensors.
