Xiaomi 11t pro is probably the latest model in Xiaomi 's eleventh series of smartphones. It offers top equipment with high performance and a quality AMOLED display. The smartphone is associated with the term Cinemagic, which means that Xiaomi in this model focused mainly on photography and video.
In a detailed review, we will verify how the smartphone takes photos, what the video quality is, but we will also look at performance, charging, endurance and share our experiences after intensive use of the smartphone.
Where to buy Xiaomi 11T Pro?
The smartphone is currently only available from an authorized dealer of global Xiaomi devices, which is the Goboo e-shop. It is available from a Spanish warehouse. As it is an official Xiaomi dealer, you can also rely on 2-year European warranty a 14-day return period.

Contents of the package
Xiaomi 11T Pro is another smartphone that no longer has the word Mi in its name, which we have a hard time getting used to. As for the contents of the package, no change is made here. The smartphone comes in a box of standard dimensions, this time in white with gold text.
In addition to the smartphone, the package also includes a charger, cable and silicone case. However, the charging adapter is not quite standard. Xiaomi already comes with a 4 W adapter in the basic package, similarly to the MIX 120 model, which should charge the smartphone in just 17 minutes when the HyperCharge function is switched on. The time of lengthy charging of phones is thus slowly coming to an end.
Quality of processing and layout of elements
We had the tested piece available in the so-called Meteorite Gray color. It is gray with a delicate pattern, but personally we would like the smartphone more in white or blue. This gray is like a mirror and you can see very much fingerprints and dirt on it. Although most people will use a smartphone with a case, the Xiaomi 11T Pro looks a bit dull in this color and is very similar to the older model from the 10T series.
The quality of workmanship is at a good level, even if the back cover is just classic, plastic. The phone holds well in the hand thanks to the rounded edges on the back. In terms of size, it ranks among the larger ones and is also not one of the thinnest smartphones.
Let's move on to the layout of the individual elements. The left edge is traditionally blank and does not contain any buttons. On the right side we find the well-known two-button for volume control and the button for unlocking the smartphone, in which the fingerprint reader is integrated.
The bottom side received a charging USB-C port, a speaker, a slot for 2 SIM card, which is double-sided, speaker and microphone. In the upper edge we find the second speaker, also the second microphone and one of the sensors.
In the back there is a camera module, which also contains an LED flash and a third microphone.
Again quality AMOLED display
As with other Xiaomi smartphones belonging to the 11 series, we can look forward to a high-quality AMOLED display. Its diagonal is 6.67 ″ and the display is flat, without rounded edges, but with a cutout for the front camera in the middle of the upper part.
Although the refresh rate has been reduced to 120 Hz, it is still a perfect value. The sampling frequency is 480 Hz, the maximum brightness can reach up to 1000 nits, the contrast ratio is 5: 000 and there is no support for HDR000 +. In addition to brightness, the display can automatically adjust colors and we also find the Sunlight mode 1 function, which helps to better visibility in direct sunlight.
Also interesting is the MEMC function, which transforms videos from 24 fps to 48 fps, from 25 fps to 50 fps and from 30 fps to 60 fps, thus ensuring a smoother image. The display also received an A + rating from the well-known company DisplayMate. It is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus protective glass.
The refresh rate is only preset to 60 Hz, so if you want to use the full potential of the display, we recommend that you go to the settings and change the refresh rate to a maximum of 120 Hz. The difference is immediately visible.
You don't have to deal with performance
As it is one of the flagship models from Xiaomi, you will find a top Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G processor here. It is manufactured using 5 nm technology and its maximum frequency is 2.84 GHz. It is an 8-core processor, which consists of one Kryo 680 Prime core (Cortex-X1), 3 Kryo 680 Gold cores (Cortex-A78) and four Kryo 680 Silver cores (Cortex-A55).
The processor is seconded by the graphical Adreno 660. The fast running of the smartphone is also ensured by the LPDDR5 RAM operating memory, which in our case has a capacity of 8 GB. Fast UFS 3.1 storage is available in a 128 GB version. You will also find higher versions on offer, namely 8 + 256 GB and 12 + 256 GB.
There is really enough performance and you certainly don't have to worry about any jams or slow reactions. Everything works extremely fast and smoothly. Traditionally, we also tested the Xiaomi 11T Pro in the AnTuT benchmark in version 9. Here he scored 667 points.
Standard fingerprint reader
Xiaomi is very praised by us for not placing a fingerprint reader on the display in this model. The classic reader in the button for unlocking is an increasingly reliable solution for us compared to the one in the display.
The button with the reader protrudes slightly from the body of the smartphone, but you can easily feel it. The reliability of the reader is very good, so we almost never noticed unsuccessful attempts to unblock. The slight delay is visible, but it is not significant.
There is also the possibility of face separation, which also works very well, reliably and most importantly quickly. You will also find here a classic unlock with a pattern, PIN or a less used screen unlock using a bluetooth device (eg a watch).
Extremely fast 120 W charging
Already in the review of the innovative MIX 4, we imagined ultra-fast charging. The Xiaomi 11T Pro also gets the same, so we already find a 120 W adapter with a cable in the basic package. Of course, we re-tested the charging time and the process itself looks like this:
- 18 - 50% in 5 minutes and 12 seconds
- 75% in 9 minutes and 54 seconds
- 90% in 12 minutes and 58 seconds
- 100% za 16 minutes and 30 seconds
As you can see, charging is really extremely fast. So you can charge your smartphone in any few days during the day. The endurance, of course, depends on the style of use, but our smartphone has always lasted at least one whole day. However, two-day endurance is also realistic. However, with such a fast charge, you don't have to deal with endurance at all.
The battery has a capacity of 5000 mAh, but consists of two 2500 mAh cells. New technologies such as MTW (Multiple Tab Winding) have been used. This technology improves the current flow to the battery, contains more anode and cathode surfaces, which allow a shorter current path, lower internal resistance and better thermal regulation with higher current consumption.
The charging speed usually slows down significantly when the capacity approaches 100%. Mi-FC technology extends high current time and supports cell current and voltage monitoring. As a result, the trickle charge time is significantly reduced. LiquidCool technology takes care of cooling.
The smartphone heats up during such a fast charge, similar to playing games. It's not extreme, but the smartphone is quite warm. Xiaomi states that the flashlight has a lifespan of at least 800 cycles, but the real lifespan will only become apparent over time, as smartphones with such a fast charge are still new.
Three cameras
If you go to the official global website of the Xiaomi brand and click on the 11T Pro model, you will find that a large part of the presentation of this smartphone is focused on video and photography. Xiaomi claims that these are flagship cameras at a professional level. We will, of course, check whether this is really the case.
The three cameras are arranged one below the other in the module on the back. It does not protrude significantly from the body of the smartphone. Xiaomi does not publish full details of the sensors used on its official website, so we drew on the most reliable source, the site Kimovil.
Main camera | 108 MPx | sensor Samsung S5KHM2 | aperture f / 1.75 |
---|---|---|---|
Ultra-wide camera |
8 MPx | Sony sensor IMX355 | aperture f / 2.2 |
Tele-macro camera |
5 MPx | sensor Samsung S5K5E9 | aperture f / 2.4 |
The main camera combines 9 pixels into one, creating a 12 MPx photo. If you want to shoot in full 108 MPx resolution, you must switch to 108 MPx mode. The photos taken with this camera are very nice. The rendering of colors is pleasant, close to reality and not unnecessarily oversaturated. The photos taken during good lighting are excellent, sharp and we basically have nothing to complain about.
However, in low light, the camera tends to go too dark, creating underexposed spots that go all the way to black. On the contrary, in very strong sun, sunlight is sometimes created and the photo is too bright.
The HDR function, which is preset to turn on automatically and also works well, takes care of eliminating overexposed areas. The quality of photos taken in low light indoors is also good. The colors are natural and the photo looks very real.
Wide angle camera and tele-macro
If we compare the output of the wide-angle camera with the main one, we see that the wide-angle camera has a weaker dynamick range and its colors have a warmer feel. A 2x zoom is also available, but a separate multi-zoom telephoto lens is missing. The smartphone creates a 2x zoom using the main, 108 MPx sensor, so the quality is good.
The macro lens will please every fan of close-up shots. Although the sensor has only 5 MPx, macro photography is very simple and easy. The lens has automatic focusing at different distances namiof fixed focus, which we are used to from many other smartphones. This ensures much more comfortable shooting and fewer failed shots.
Night photos
Xiaomi 11T Pro does not support so-called Night Owl night mode, which can illuminate objects in complete darkness extremely well. However, the night mode as such is not missing and has several automatic modes that turn on according to how the camera's algorithm evaluates the scene.
Night mode slightly illuminates the photo and brings more detail in the form of higher sharpness. As you can see in the following photo, the night mode significantly suppressed the strong glow from the lighting on the building, brightened the photo, but the color of the photo shifted to significantly warmer shades.
The video is not surprising
Despite the fact that the manufacturer associates the Xioami 11T Pro with the term "Cinemagic", do not expect any miracles. The maximum resolution in which videos can be recorded is up to 8K, but only at 30 fps. Unfortunately, no image stabilization is available at this maximum resolution. In general, optical stabilization is missing, but at 4K and lower resolution we have at least digital image stabilization.
However, the stabilization activity can still be seen in the video, as with all other models in the 11 series. The video shot while walking is thus stabilized, but you can see annoying blur in it. Video quality without stabilization turned on is good, but you need an external stabilizer (gimbal) for usable output when shooting on the go.
You will also find various video effects such as magic zoom, image freeze, parallel world, night fast shot, as well as short effect videos in the VLOG category. However, we have already seen all these features in other models.
Android 11 and MIUI 12
Xiaomi 11T Pro brings the Android 11 operating system with the MIUI extension. Immediately after the first power on and connecting to the home WiFi network, we received an update to the global version 12.5.11. If you read our articles regularly, the system does not need to be introduced to you in any special way.
The MIUI superstructure has been reworked in detail, offering many settings and customizations. There is a popular dark mode, dual applications, reading mode and Game Turbo function. The system also offered us an interesting concentration mode, in which it is possible to turn off notifications from selected applications at a certain time.
Xiaomi 11T Pro: Final evaluation
The Xiaomi 11T Pro is a slightly lightweight flagship model with excellent performance, a nice 120 Hz AMOLED display and extremely fast charging. Thanks to the 120 W charger, which you will find in the basic package, you will charge your smartphone in literally a few minutes. It took us only 20 minutes and 100 seconds from 16% to 30%.
It will also please a good main camera, as well as a macro lens, which takes very good pictures and can capture beautiful macro shots. A slight disappointment is the absence of optical stabilization and a quality periscope lens. The glossy glossy mirror cover in the Meteorite Gray design is literally a magnet for fingerprints that are too visible on it, just like any other dirt.

Overall, however, it is a successful smartphone that we would like to use and we could imagine it as our primary phone.
