Since the speakers in televisions are often very weak and of poor quality, in many households they are complemented by soundbars. One of them, specifically a model Ultimea Odin III we tested in detail. It offers 120 W of power at a very attractive price.
In the review, we will get to know the Ultimea brand, look at the quality of the soundbar's processing, tell us what it hides inside and try to describe its sound quality as best as possible. We compared it with the approximately 150 euro Samsung HW-K335 soundbar (which also has a subwoofer) and it performed really well.

About the Ultimea brand
Since the brand Last it is certainly relatively unknown to many of you, as well as to us, let's talk a little more about it. It was founded in 2012 in Seattle, USA. The first product that the founder of this brand created was a TV box, which quickly became very popular.
Later, the founder of the brand teamed up with professionals from Harman Kardon in Boston, when the brand produced its first soundbar. Later, projectors and laser TV were added to the product portfolio.
Today, Ultimea strives to produce innovative products at affordable prices. He owns more than 50 patents and various awards.
Ultimea Odine III: Contents and quality of packaging
The Ultimea brand soundbar was brought to us by SPS courier from a seller on Aliexpress from a European warehouse. The soundbar was not particularly packaged, it just came in a product box with a shipping label attached. Personally, we prefer if the seller wraps the product at least in protective foil or another box, which we lacked here.
The box measures 97.5 x 17.8 x 11.8 cm and the total package weighs 3.7 kg. Inside, there is a soundbar in foil, which is held by four foam struts. There is also another smaller box inside that contains accessories.
Specifically, it is a power cable with an adapter, a remote control, an optical and AUX cable, screws for wall mounting and a brief user manual. As usual, the manufacturer does not include batteries in the remote control. On the other hand, the optical cable is not always included in the package. We personally also have a Samsung soundbar at home, but we would look for an optical cable in its package in vain.
Design and quality of workmanship
The Ultimea Odine III soundbar has a trapezoidal shape with rounded corners and a total length of 94 cm. It weighs 2.41 kg and is all black. It is made of plastic in combination with a metal grid that covers the entire front and top side. With stronger lighting behind the grill, you can see the individual speakers along with the display in its center.
On the sides we have shiny plastic, where at the same time we find the openings of the so-called tubes. bass reflex. The top part is also covered by the mentioned metal grid, which is complemented by a series of buttons on the right side. Specifically, these are the buttons for on / off, "+" and "-" for volume adjustment, "m" for switching the equalizer and the button for pairing via Bluetooth. We also find the Ultimea brand logo near the buttons.
The underside has rubberized feet, thanks to which the soundbar holds firmly in place and even children will not easily move it. The back is home to input ports and power. However, we also find a pair of holes that serve to hang the soundbar on the wall. As we mentioned in the previous chapter, you will find screws and dowels for fixing it to the wall in the package.
Speakers and sound quality
Let's go right away to the most interesting part, which is the sound itself, since surely each of you is mainly interested in how this soundbar plays. 6 speakers are hidden behind the front metal grill.
Specifically, it is four 25 W speakers that take care of the midrange and bass and two tweeters with a power of 10 W. Together, this gives us a total power of up to 120 W. The speakers are also complemented by two tubes of the bass reflex system at the ends of the soundbar.
And what is the sound output? Surprisingly very good, we couldn't believe that this soundbar can be bought under 100 EUR. The sound is perfectly balanced. Highs, mids and bass have a great ratio, so the overall output is great. Of course, the bass is not strong, but rather soft but pleasant.
So we enjoyed the soundbar, whether watching movies or listening to music. There is also an equalizer with five modes, namely: music, movie, bass+, news and game. Personally, we used the music mode most often. It's a shame that we can't adjust the highs, mids and bass individually. We would definitely welcome such a solution.
Furthermore, we also have the option to turn on/off the 3D sound effect and 32 volume levels. In our opinion, this is sufficient, and we mostly used the soundbar at a maximum of half volume. Well, it's not for some too loud party.
We also compared the soundbar with ours Samsung HW-K335. This is an older model of the soundbar with a subwoofer, but its price was almost double that of the Odine III. Despite this, Odine III plays better and especially cleaner. Of course, the bass is weaker with the soundbar from Ultime, since it does not have a separate subwoofer, but the overall sound quality is better.
Remote control
The remote control from the Ultimea Odine III soundbar has dimensions of 14 x 4.6 x 0,9 - 1.8 cm and weighs 40 g without batteries and 63 g with batteries. The controller has an ergonomic shape and fits well in the hand.
As for the buttons, they are quite pleasant to press, but they make a clicking sound, which we certainly wouldn't miss here. It's not the best, but it's definitely not one of those cheap ones that feel like a punishment to use.
At the top we have an on/off button along with an instant mute button. Below them are buttons for switching inputs - Bluetooth, optical, HDMI and AUX. Furthermore, there are buttons arranged in a circle, used to control music playback and volume.
In the lower part, there are 9 more buttons, which are mainly used to switch between the individual equalizer modes. In addition to them, a button for switching the input to USB, turning on playback in a loop and a button for turning off the LED display found its place here. But somehow that didn't work for us.
Possibilities of use and connectivity
As we mentioned earlier, the Ultimea Odine III soundbar offers very good connectivity, and thus several options for using it. One of them is playing music from a USB stick or, for example, from a smartphone via Bluetooth.
To pair via Bluetooth, just press the BT button and search for the soundbar, for example on a smartphone, among available Bluetooth devices. Another option, rather for televisions, is connection via HDMI with the ARC function or via an optical cable, which is also included in the package.
There is also an AUX connection, for which the manufacturer also included cables. The only thing missing from the package is the HDMI cable.
Ultimea Odine III: Final Review
Ultimea Odine III is a very interesting soundbar that offers six speakers, a bass reflex and a total power of up to 120 W. In the package you will also find a remote control or an optical cable for connecting to the TV.
The modern and simple design with the front metal grille will please you, but especially the very good quality of the sound, which is perfectly balanced. Even the bass is missing, so it's a really tempting offer, especially if we look at the price, which hovers around 70 EUR.
