Display and design differences
Redmi smartphones are very similar in their ninth generation and their body is made of tempered glass and polycarbonate materials. The diagonal of the display is different, where a pair of Note 9T and Note 9 devices will offer 6,53 ″, the other pair will offer up to 6,67 ″.
All smartphones offer IPS LCD technology, Full HD + resolution and also shot with the location of the front camera. However, the advantage is the latest Note 9T model, which has a high refresh rate at 90 Hz. This is not a standard at this price, as evidenced by the remaining trio with a 60 Hz screen.
Power and memory
In terms of performance, we have a duel between two MediaTek processors and two Qualcomm processors. These are mid-range processors, and in this metric, the newer the smartphone, the newer the processor.
The Note 9 model will be offered by the MediaTek Helio G85 and is supported by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor inside the Note 9 Pro and Note 9S smartphones. The latest processor includes the latest Note 9T smartphone and is the long-awaited MediaTek Dimensity 800U.
All smartphones are also available with 4 GB of RAM, with the exception of the Note 9 Pro model, which offers 6 GB of RAM. Also, all models are available in a 64 GB version. For an additional fee, it is possible to choose a larger storage, namely 128 GB.
Camera comparison
When it comes to cameras, the best equipment will probably be offered by the Note 9 Pro with a main up to 64 MPx Samsung GW1 sensor. It is also complemented by an 8 MPx wide-angle, 5 MPx macro and 2 MPx depth sensor. The front camera has up to 16 MPx.
The remaining three will offer the main 48 MPx sensor, all other smartphones will also offer a macro and depth sensor. The single Note 9T model does not offer an ultra-wide-angle sensor, which is a disadvantage. In addition to the Note 9 model, in today's comparison all models also offer 4K (30 fps) video recording. The mentioned basic Note 9 offers only 1080p recording.
Endurance per charge
Battery life is also a very important category when choosing a new smartphone, and Redmi leaves nothing to chance in this generation either. The highest battery capacity will be offered by the three Note 9 Pro, Note 9S and Note 9 models, both 5020 mAh. Note 9T offers only a negligibly smaller 5000 mAh battery.
Smartphones with such a high capacity should easily last a demanding working day and, with milder use, even two days on a single charge. However, high capacities also include fast charging. The fastest battery offered by the Note 9 Pro model is 33W. The remaining models will offer 22,5W.
Price and availability of smartphones
smartphone Redmi Note 9T as the latest representative comes in 4 GB RAM + 64 GB configuration at an introductory price of only 199 € / USD 241. However, the standard selling price after the introductory event is 229 € / USD 278.
Model Notes redmi 9 Pro (64 GB) is still on sale at international retailers for 210 with very good equipment € / USD 255. Redmi Notes 9S (64 GB) is then on sale for 180 € / 218 USD a Redmi Note 9 as a basic model for 150 € / USD 182.
Final rating of Redmi smartphones
If we take only the technical equipment of smartphones, the winner of this comparison will probably not be anyone other than the model Notes redmi 9 Pro. It offers not only a better camera, but still a very good price-performance ratio.
Surprisingly, however, the new model would be in second place Redmi Note 9T, whose advantages are the support of a 5G connection, but also a screen with a higher refresh rate of 90 Hz. Third place in our comparison is cheaper Redmi Notes 9S and the ranking closes the original and basic, cheapest model in fourth place Redmi Note 9.
