Just a few days ago, the very first smartphone from the company's workshop saw the light of day Nothing, whose founder is Carl Pei. Co-founder of OnePlus launches his smartphone NothingPhone (1), about which you can read more information in this article.
Even at the first look at this unconventionally made device, it is clear that the manufacturer tried to significantly differentiate itself from other companies in the field of smartphones. One of these differentiating elements is definitely the GLYPH INTERFACE, which are the LEDs on the back of the smartphone.
Interesting Easter egg
The Nothing Phone (1) smartphone comes to the market with its own lightweight launcher, which, in addition to design changes, also offers one interesting Easter egg. It has the task of flashing the LEDs on the back to the rhythm of the music being played.
To access Music Visualization's settings:
1. Create a contact named "Abra".
2. Under Settings > Glyph Interface > Ringtones, click "Add a Contact"
3. Select any ringtone for Abra, and click "Save" at the top.
4. "Abra-cadabra" 🙂 Once Abra is added, Music Visualization appears! pic.twitter.com/vy8fYIaRFv- Dylan Roussel @ (@evowizz) July 18, 2022
In order to access this secret menu, thanks to which the LEDs will flash according to the currently playing music, you have to perform a few simple steps:
- Create a contact with the first name "Abra"
- In the Glyph settings, add the newly created Abra contact to the ringtone list
- Assign any ringtone to a new contact
- All done! The new GLYPH INTERFACE setting will appear on your smartphone
If you are wondering why the name in the contact is Abra, we have the answer for you. Abra is the name of a Pokémon, and since founder Carl Pei is a big Pokémon fan, the choice was easy.
