Our fan shared his experience with X96 Max Plus Ultra
Our fan Ďuro shared with us his experience with the X96 Max Plus Ultra TV box. In his comment, he emphasized that he especially appreciates the smooth playback of 4K movies and the ability to install apps like on a mobile thanks to the pure Android 11 that this box uses. He also mentioned that he prefers this version over AndroidTV because it allows more flexibility in installing apps. Thank you!
Traditional design, powerful processor and graphics chip
The design and build quality of the X96 Max Plus Ultra TV Box are simple and elegant. It is a compact black plastic box with rounded corners that has dimensions 7,70 x 7,70 x 1,70 cm and weighs 150 g.
Despite the fact that it is made of plastic, it looks solid and has good processing quality. There is a white X96 MAX+ Ultra logo on the top and a blue LED display on the front showing the time and Wi-Fi status, HD resolutions and more.
As for the connectors on the side, you will find typical ports such as DC output, 100M Ethernet, 1x USB3.0 port, 1x USB2.0, 1x Micro SD slot, 1x optical port, 1x AV jack & IR and finally HDMI 2.0, which allows video output with a resolution of up to 8K at 60 fps. Under the cover is used in X96 Max Plus Ultra's Amlogic S905X4 64-bit quad-core ARM Cortex A55 with a frequency of 2,0 GHz.
This processor is known for its good manufacturing quality on 12 nm and provides Fr 30% higher performance than the previous generation compared to the S905X3 found in most TV boxes. The processor is designed for high-performance devices and supports decoding AV1, which is already mandatory for popular streaming services.
Graphics chip Mali-G31 MP2 with maximum frequency 800 MHz and performance 2,6 Gpix/s it supports OpenGL ES 3.2 and can handle games like PUBG or Call of Duty.
The manufacturer did not forget about 4 GB RAM for better multitasking ability and excellent results when navigating and launching applications. The storage capacity is 64 GB eMMC and a TF card slot to expand up to 64 GB.
X96 Max Plus Ultra connectivity
For connectivity, it includes the X96 Max Plus Ultra box 2,4 GHz / 5 GHz WIFI IEEE 802.11 b / g / n / ac dual-band for faster data transfer and better streaming experience, it also comes with 100 Mbit LAN.
We recommend using 5 GHz Wi-Fi, which is more reliable, faster and provides even better data transmission over a shorter distance.
X96 Max Plus Ultra has Bluetooth 4.1, which is not the latest generation, but works well. However, a TV box in this price category would be better if it had a newer version of 5.0 or 5.3. The remote control sometimes doesn't work in some apps, which is a common problem of almost all android TV boxes, because these apps are mainly designed for touch screen tablets and phones. We recommend purchasing a mini wireless keyboard or remote control, which will make it easier for you to navigate on the screen in applications that are not adapted for remote control.
Efficient cooling
Under intense load, the temperature of the X96 Max Plus Ultra TV box can reach up to 75 ° C or more, which may cause a slight drop in performance. For normal use, such as watching movies, the temperature is acceptable and ranges between 55°C to 65°C. The cooling system of this box is efficient thanks to the large number of ventilation holes that ensure the necessary cooling. You can lower the temperature even more by using a cooling fan.

Hello guys. Will the skylink app go there? Well thank you
Hi, apparently not in this box. Skylink only goes through the official Android TV, which is e.g. in this box https://chinaplanet.sk/mecool-km2-plus-deluxe-1/
It works, I watch Skylink on it and no problems
I just bought it and watching the video the box is already 55 degrees (so there will be a lot more inside). Where do you see the vents? After all, it is completely closed from the mountain, and if it has a structure like max+ (without ultra), then it has a board underneath the head, so the warm air has nowhere to go... How can I say that except for regular traffic jams, which can be survived, it is fine ( a couple of frames drop out but it's seriously not very visible) the solution is to have it rotated... And that hybrid of Android TV and something like a tablet is really terrible and only allows you to install 32 bit versions of applications... But you can install applications from all over the world via USB ( as on every android TV)
Hi, I want to use this box to play music via AV (on the AUX input on the tower) or via BT on a speaker, but after turning off the TV (or after disconnecting the HDMI cable), the sound plays for a few seconds and then it is silent until I turn on the TV again, to which it is connected via HDMI. The sound goes both via HDMI to the TV and via AV to the speaker, but only as long as the TV is turned on.
Volume control has no effect.
The device is running, responding (I check it via DroidVNC) but the audio output is not working. Is there a setting in Android that requires HDMI to be active?
