Huawei introduced the world's first folding smartphone that folds into three layers. Its internal display therefore has two flexible hinges. The entire technology behind its creation is respectable. However, what is probably most worth mentioning is the thickness comparison Huawei Mate XT with the model Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6, i.e. a traditional flexible smartphone. They are almost identically thick.
The Huawei Mate XT has a similar thickness to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6
Na Reddit an interesting photo has surfaced that shows just how thin the new one is Huawei Mate XT Ultimate in the folded state, or how thick the structure is Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6. More specifically, Mate XT has a thickness 12,8 mm, by whom ZFold6 it reaches a thickness of only tenths of a millimeter less, specifically 12,1 mm.
Naoko is really a negligible difference. It is necessary to take into account that the model from Huawei it is possible to stack up to three layers, not just two. It has 10,2 inch internal display that is compared to 7,6-inch Samsung's screen is significantly larger.
The Samsung model is certainly robust and durable. Compared to Chinese models, incl Xiaomi MIX Fold 4", which we are currently reviewing, however, no longer looks as futuristic and premium as it did a few years ago, when there were a minimum of flexible smartphones on the market. We see incremental improvements every year, but what now Huawei demonstrated, is a significant step forward, both in terms of technology and design.
