If you want to avoid speeding fines, maybe a smart function right in your smartphone will help you. This feature, as well as a number of other improvements, is offered by the mobile app Waze.
Waze: Speed warning and many other improvements
One of the most effective ways to stop constantly noticing the speedometer while driving is to connect your smartphone to your vehicle and use Android Auto. However, this only applies if your vehicle supports the software Android Auto. However, there is also a different option presented by the application Waze.
Waze also supports display in the Android Auto interface, but if your vehicle does not have this software, you can use a standard application and a smartphone attached to, for example, a car stand. You can then set speed alerts in a few simple steps:
- Open your Waze app on Android Auto or on your smartphone
- At the bottom, select "My Waze" or "My Waze"
- Now click on the gear in the upper left
- In the menu, select "Notifications" and then "Speedometer"
Advanced settings including sound notifications
From there you can configure all the notifications related to your driving speed. There is also a real-time speed display function, based on GPS location, as well as a speed limit display. Waze has a database of speed limits on roads and projects these limits directly on your screen.
The advantage is the highlighting of the speed limit if you exceed it, thanks to which you peripherally recognize that you need to slow down. You can also set an audio warning for speeding (Editor's note: it is necessary to adjust the application settings).
Audible and visual alerts can save you a lot of money for speeding, and they can also provide an effective way to warn you without having to look outside the windshield. Of course, we recommend that you drive according to the regulations that are prescribed for your local traffic. However, if you exceed the speed limit, this mobile application will immediately notify you of a possible traffic violation.
