Purchases from China and other associated fees. This was a rather unpleasant topic for all those who like to buy products from the Asian continent. Portal Živé.sk brought hot news directly from Slovenská pošta.
The agreement will be put into practice at the end of January
Editorial Živé.sk in October last year, Martin Ľupták, CEO of Slovenská pošta, resigned. He said it was in their efforts to make it easier for Slovaks to shop from Chinese stores again. We dealt with this topic at the end of October in a special article on our website. Our post has reached an agreement with the Czech Post and the AliExpress and Wish stores.
The buyer will receive a package, the content of which is already taxed, and then it will not be necessary to pay a penny for the customs procedure, as well as VAT. The agreement was signed at the end of last year and is now slowly coming into force. We will see the first shipments in this mode in a few days, which is definitely pleasing news. Jana Lukáčová, Head of the Communication and Marketing Department of Slovenská pošta, for the portal Živé.sk stated:
"Shipments that will arrive in Slovakia on the basis of this agreement will go directly to the addressees. Slovenská pošta will thus reduce the number of consignments that would require handling at the customs declaration department, "
Slovenská pošta has agreed with the AliExpress and Wish stores
This agreement is to cover only two huge Chinese e-shops. Of course, this is about the AliExpress and Wish stores. Lukáčová added that up to 90 percent of all orders created in stores in Asian countries come to Slovakia from these stores.
You may already know that Chinese stores have begun building warehouses in Europe to avoid buyers having to pay additional fees, thus speeding up the time it takes to deliver goods to the end customer. We are very pleased that ordering shipments from China have returned to the good old days.
If you like shopping from AliExpress, be sure not to miss our instructions on how to filter products in European warehouses.
Almost no one knows this trick on Aliexpress: A very precise way to search EU warehouses

I wonder if this will also apply to the € 2 handling fee that the post office charges for packages that come directly with the deeds.
Yes. Packages up to 160 € they are not subject to any customs duty, it is a matter of getting rid of these handling fees that SP has charged.
I received the shipment today and paid 2 euros
So you probably ordered it before this agreement came into force…
