Product review massage gun: SKG X7-SE

After creating the order on 16.01.2023, the goods arrived on 10.02.2023, which was the longest delivery time for an order from China that I have experienced so far. The product arrived without any additional charges. Standard packaging: plastic packaging, inside a cardboard box and inside it a box with the product.

I will compare the massage gun with my previous BlitzWolf BW-FAS2 (which expired after 2 years of ultra-active use). The price of the new massage gun was 94,25, and the old one cost 36 euros. So I was expecting a definitely significant qualitative shift forward. After unboxing the SKG X7-SE, I was slightly disappointed. The body of the entire gun, except for the upper part, which is used for "heating", is made entirely of plastic (I note that the official price on the website of the manufacturer of the massage gun is +- around 160 euros). BlitzWolf had a plastic body, but the handle was coated with silicone, which was very nice. I noticed a fundamental and positive difference when I held the new massage gun in my hands. It is much lighter than the old one. 620 grams vs 790 grams. The biggest positive of the SKG X7-SE is the engine. Compared to the previous gun, I feel that it is stronger and of better quality, the massage felt better and more intense (even though the parameters and paper are almost identical) + the motor is very quiet compared to the old one.

As for the attachments, I was also disappointed. Apart from the main one, which is made of some kind of "hardened foam", they are all purely plastic, with the old gun I very often used a rubber attachment, which was very soft and perfect for massaging parts such as the back, hands, etc. (just not large muscle parts like legs).

A very unpleasant disappointment with the new gun was the display, or better said the battery status indicator. With the SKG X7-SE, there are two "positions" of the battery, either it is blue or it is red, and the picture of "full" battery is always shown. So, even if there are only a few seconds left before it is completely discharged, the gun shows you a picture of a red "full" battery. The BlitzWolf pistol did it perfectly. The gun showed you 10 levels of battery charge status on the display + the backlight changed depending on the battery status (the green backlight signaled a full charge, around 5 degrees it started to change to orange, then it got slightly darker and from 2 degrees it started to glow red). When I bought the new product, I already knew that the new gun has a smaller capacity battery compared to the old one (that's probably why it's so light).

As for the endurance of the SKG X7-SE itself, I am absolutely disappointed. The charging time is about 5 hours and the gun lasts 4-5 uses before it is completely discharged, which is absolutely unusable (it is possible that I have a defective part).

The overall assessment is that I expected much more in this price category, the biggest positive is the high-quality engine and quiet operation, the other things seem very "sloppy" to me (body, display, battery, extensions) and even if I counted on the fact that I have "broken" item, as for the battery, I would only recommend the gun to someone who can accept that the gun will last for about 10 max 15 massages on one charge. (according to the manufacturer, it can withstand at least 20 x 15 minute massages) which I think was measured at the weakest level (1 out of 5) + without any resistance.

I am currently dealing with the seller banggood return of this pistol either as a defective item or due to misrepresentation by the manufacturer. Hopefully the return of this massage gun will go smoothly. I hope my review will help potential buyers to make a decision 🙂
