Content and quality of packaging
Powerbank ZMI PowerPack No. 20 comes in a relatively small box measuring 21.5 x 9.5 x 4.8 cm and weighing 800 g. It is packed in duplicate, ie in a classic cardboard box and in another product box, which is additionally protected by a transparent foil.
The box is similar to the one in which smartphones are delivered, only that it has slightly different dimensions. Inside is the power bank itself embedded in the silo, a manual and a pair of cables. Specifically, it is a cable with both USB-C type terminals and the other with USB-A to USB-C.
In terms of cable length, the black USB-C cable is shorter and only 53 cm tall. while the white USB-A to USB-C is 103 cm.
Design and layout of elements
Powerbank ZMI PowerPack No. At first glance, 20 is no different from classic power banks with a similar capacity. Its design is very simple, discreet and elegant at the same time. It has a matte gray surface on both sides, which does not unnecessarily attract fingerprints and is more comfortable to hold in the hand than a glossy surface.
The circuit of the power bank is complemented by a black strip that hides the individual control elements and ports. There are three of them, namely 2 x USB-C and 1 x USB-A. The opposite side to the ports is empty. It's the same with longer gamesnami, one of which is empty and the other has a button and a hidden display.
As for the quality of workmanship, it is at a very good level. All parts fit together perfectly, nothing creases or bends.
Extreme power up to 210 W
Perhaps the biggest attraction of this power bank is the huge total power of up to 210 W, which makes the ZMI PowerPack No. 20 becomes the strongest power bank in the world. With this power bank, you can charge most smartphones on the market as fast as from a classic charger from the mains.
Of course, there are several smartphone models, especially from Chinese manufacturers, which also support faster than 100 W charging, but even in these cases the power bank will serve more than well.
Of course, the 210 W power is divided between the individual ports, and this value is the sum of the powers of all three ports when used simultaneously. Specifically, the first, USB-C port is capable of reaching a maximum of 100 W, the second USB-C port 45 W and the third USB-A port 65 W.
If we use only one of the ports, we have a power of 100 W via the first USB-C port, 45 W via the second USB-C port and 100 W via the third USB-A port if we use the included USB-A to USB-C cable.
High capacity
As we have mentioned several times, the total capacity of the power bank is 25 mAh, which is a very decent number. According to the manufacturer, it can charge, for example, a 000-inch MacBook Pro 13 times, an iPhone 1.3 mini 12 times, an iPhone 6 12 times or an iPad 5 1980 times.
Thanks to its compact dimensions and capacity of 90.75 Wh, you can easily carry such a power bank on an airplane and recharge your laptop, tablet or smartphone during the flight.
Inside, there are 21 cells, which have better capacity, energy density and higher charging and discharging performance compared to standard 700 cells. Of course, there are also several safety features such as temperature, overcurrent, overvoltage or short-circuit protection.
Charging our Xiaomi MIX 4
We tested fast charging on our Xiaomi MIX 4 content management smartphone, which supports up to 120 W charging and has a battery with a capacity of 4 mAh. We started charging with the remaining capacity of 500%, we used a USB-C cable from the power bank package and the overall process looked like this:
capacity | time |
---|---|
18 to 50% | 4 min and 38 s |
75% | 9 min and 20 s |
90% | 13 min and 26 s |
100% | 22 min and 9 s |
The MIX 4 smartphone nicely detected 100 W charging, which it also informed us about on the always-on display. The power bank's capacity dropped from 100% to 85% after charging. Since the MIX 4 has a 4500 mAh battery, the remaining capacity at which we connected it to the charger was approximately 810 mAh.
Until the battery was fully charged, 3690 mAh remained to be charged. Of the total capacity of the power bank (25 mAh), 000% was spent, which is approximately 15 mAh, so everything fits us as expected.
We also carried out further charging at a battery capacity of around 20% (+ - 2%). After the second charge, the capacity of the power bank dropped to 67%, after the third to 49%, after the fourth to 28% and after the last, fifth charge we reached 10%.
Charging the power bank itself
The big problem of current powerbanks is charging the powerbank itself for too long. You charge your smartphone relatively quickly with them, but when you need to recharge your power bank, it takes long hours. Especially if the power bank has a high capacity, it will actually spend a few hours on the charger.
ZMI PowerPack No. However, the 20 offers up to 100 W input via the USB-C 1 port, so you can forget about long charging due to the high capacity. We tested the charging time using a 120 W charger from the Xiaomi MIX 4 smartphone. You can see the course of this charging below:
capacity | time |
---|---|
10 to 50% | 35 min |
70% | 53 min |
80% | 1 ha 5 min |
90% | 1 ha 17 min |
99% | 1 ha 40 min |
100% | 1 ha 50 min |
ZMI PowerPack No. 20: Final evaluation
New power bank ZMI PowerPack No. 20 is one of the best power banks in the world with extremely fast up to 210 W charging while using all three output ports. Powerbank offers a simple and well-known design without atypical elements. It has a capacity of 25 mAh, 000 outputs, two of which are combined and therefore also serve as inputs.
The maximum power of one separate port, 100 W, is enough to quickly charge any smartphone that supports such fast charging. We charged our editorial Xiaomi MIX 4 in 22 minutes using the power bank. A huge advantage is also the fast charging of the power bank itself, which took us only 1 hour and 50 minutes. The only downside is perhaps the high price.
