Content and quality of packaging
The IMILAB W12 smart watch is delivered in a small pull-out box measuring 14.3 x 7.2 x 3 cm. Inside is the watch itself with a black bracelet in a soft reinforcement. The watch is not very well protected from the top, but it arrived to us without any signs of damage.
The packaging is modest and consists only of a watch with a bracelet, a charging cable and a brief manual for use. In a separate box, we received the aforementioned bonus from the seller, which is another watch bracelet. It is in blue.
Quality of workmanship and design
The IMILAB W12 watch has a really beautiful design. Unlike the older model of the brand, IMILAB KW66, they are significantly thinner and give a more premium impression. Their construction is metal and made of one cast piece. Their surface underwent ten CNC polishes.
The watch is really elegant, light and durable. Several times we accidentally managed to trip over the door frame and railing with a watch, on which, however, there was not a scratch left, from which we were pleasantly surprised.
As for the layout of the controls, we only find a pair of buttons on the right. The underside is home to a heart rate sensor and SpO2. The bracelet is standard, silicone and is removable, so you can exchange it for any with the same width.
First turn on and pair with the application
The IMILAB W12 smart watch works with the Glory Fit application. It has a pretty good rating in the Google Play store. At the time of writing this review was 4.4 out of 5. After installation, the application prompted us to log in and enter basic information about us, such as gender, height, weight, age and daily goal in the number of steps. A nice bonus are the instructions for the correct functioning of the application, according to which it is necessary to enable the automatic start of the application and also high performance.
The application was able to instantly recognize the watch near the smartphone. The pairing itself is extremely fast and does not require any confirmation on the watch or scanning of the QR code. The watch is paired with the application automatically without any extra steps.
Display, watch menu and functions
Despite the fact that we have a TFT display here, its resolution is fine enough. It looks very good at first glance and at certain moments we would not even say that AMOLED is not here. There are 6 designs of the main dial. The default displays all the necessary information. In addition to the current time, there is also the date, heart rate, SpO2 and the steps taken with the distance.
The main menu of the watch is accessible by swiping your finger to the right on the watch display. It has a standard scrolling design and you will find the following items: training, status, heart rate, SpO2, weather, sleep, music, news, more and settings.
Quick-access quick-access screens are also available. This includes, for example, the control center, where you can find the brightness setting, the search function of the connected phone, silent mode and settings. The percentage of the battery is also displayed here. The brightness can be adjusted in four levels. The maximum brightness level is sufficient and the visibility of the display is good even outdoors.
Other screens that are quickly accessible from the main one include the status of the number of steps, the distance traveled and the calories burned, as well as notifications. In the following sections, we will look at the individual functions in more detail.
Sleep monitoring
Monitoring the quality and length of the sled is a common part of most smart watches and fitness bracelets. We slept with the watch on hand for more than a week, so we monitored sleep several times.
The accuracy of this monitoring is not very high and it is more of an information function, similar to other watches. The IMILAB W12 can't really tell if we're sleeping or just lying motionless. Therefore, it usually happens that the watch measures a little longer sleep and is usually more of a time spent in bed. If you wake up earlier, but you still lie motionless, the watch still takes it as sleep.
You will then find information on the length of total sleep on the watch display, which is further divided into deep and shallow sleep. The application provides a little more information. In addition to deep and shallow sleep, we also find information on how long we have been up during sleep, and we also have a weekly or monthly overview. Here we find data such as the average length of our sleep and similar statistics.
13 sports activities
The IMILAB W12 smart watch has a function for monitoring sports activity. We have a choice of 13 sports. Specifically, these are: running, walking, cycling, hiking, stationary bike, yoga, skipping rope, gymnastics, badminton, ping-pong, rowing, so-called. abdomen and free activity.
We tested walking during a short walk. During the activity, the watch display shows data on time, heart rate, calories burned, distance traveled, pace and also the number of steps. We also praise the display of the current time at the top, which is missing from many watches, so while tracking the activity, you can't see what time it is.
A record of the activity can then be found in the GloryFit application under each sport. It displays more information, including a heart rate graph.
Heart rate and SpO2 measurement
The guests also lack the popular function of measuring heart rate and blood oxygenation. The watch can measure the heart rate in about 6-7 seconds, while oxygenation information is displayed almost immediately.
As for the accuracy of these measurements, unfortunately we have nothing to compare oxygenation with, but we have compared heart rate measurements with a standard Omron pressure gauge. The difference between the manometer and the watch during measurements at room was usually in the range of maximum 4 - 5 bpm. After the load, when our heart rate rose, the differences were a bit bigger, but not in all measurements. Overall, the values measured by the watch are slightly higher, but with such a cheap watch, it is quite common.
Application experience and notifications
The GloryFit application does not have the most beautiful design, but it is very good in terms of functionality. The home page contains all the necessary information about the current day - number of steps, distance, calories, as well as a record of heart rate, SpO2 and sleep measurements.
However, many are certainly interested in the functionality of notifications. The application offers a choice of notifications about calls, SMS messages and notifications from applications. Here is a list of the most used applications, although it is a bit illogical that you will also find some that you do not have installed on your smartphone. If an application is missing from the list, just click on the button "Add more applications" and choose the desired application.
We only have the option to cancel the call when there is an incoming call. It is not possible to pick up the call or mute the sound through the watch. It is also not possible to reply to messages. However, notifications work very reliably, almost exactly according to our ideas. We tested notifications from common applications such as Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, Viber or Gmail. We see a smaller negative only in longer reports, which we can't read in full through the watch.
Customization options
The application offers a relatively wide range of settings, which we have already written about in the review of the watch Imilab KW66. The application environment and the watch are almost identical to those of these watches. There are several languages available, among which there is no Slovak, but we can find Czech here. The application itself is set to the language of the smartphone environment.
As for the dials, the application offers several dozen, so there is something to choose from. There is also the possibility of creating your own design, but the possibilities of its adaptation are quite low. You only know the image and the color of the font.
Of course, there is the setting of 24-hour monitoring of heart rate and SpO2, notification of long sessions, alarm clock, setting of illumination when turning the wrist, setting the time of illumination of the display, time mode and units.
Endurance and charging
The manufacturer states the endurance per charge at the level of 30 days. However, this only applies to standby mode, when you hardly use the watch. However, it should be at least 15 days during normal operation. The truth is that endurance depends very much on the style of use.
We used the watch to the fullest. We had them constantly connected to a smartphone with notifications enabled from several applications, as well as with 24-hour heart rate and SpO2 measurement turned on. We had the brightness set to half. The watch lasted us only 6 days in such use. Charging takes approximately 2 hours.
IMILAB W12: Final evaluation
The IMILAB W12 smart watch is more reminiscent of a fitness bracelet with its functions, but overall we were very satisfied with it. Although they have a cheaper, TFT display, its resolution is fine enough, making the display look very nice with rich colors.
The watch offers standard functions such as monitoring sleep and sports activity, or measuring heart rate and SpO2. All functions worked well and we had no problems with notifications. In addition, the watch is very elegant and durable.

Express delivery from a Polish warehouse free of duty and VAT.
This product will be delivered to you expressly from a local Polish warehouse. Delivery from Poland usually takes 7-10 days and is delivered by courier. You do not pay any additional fees, no duties or VAT on delivery.
However, there are also shortcomings, including in particular the limited number of words that the watch can display in the notification. If you get a longer message, unfortunately, you won't read it all on your watch. Endurance per charge is also not one of the best, but it depends on the style of use.
