Display and design processing
Amazfit GTR 2 they are to represent premium watches with various designs. There will be a standard aluminum version, but also a steel version with a different strap. In addition, the model Amazfit GTR 2rd represents a more affordable version with an aluminum body.
However, both models offer a 1,39 ″ rounded AMOLED display, which is complemented by a pair of physical buttons in terms of control. The more expensive GTR 2 model will offer a diamond-carbon surface and 3D curved protective glass, a cheaper variant of the GTR 2e followed by 2,5D curved glass.
Connectivity
In terms of connectivity, it again has a slightly more expensive GTR 2 model. It will offer a connection via Bluetooth 5.0, but also Wi-Fi standard 6 (2,4 GHz). Cheaper GTR 2e watches offer Bluetooth 5.0.
Both watches support synchronization via the Zepp mobile application. Also in both cases there is a lack of support for GPS + GLONASS technology, but also NFC, which you will not use in Europe. For now, it only supports payments via the Alipay service.
Fitness features and answering calls
The watch contains a total of 90 fitness functions with automatic recognition of six activities. Monitoring of fitness activities is also supplemented by the Bio Tracker 2.0 sensor, which also includes monitoring of the amount of oxygen in the blood, both with the GTR 2 and GTR 2e watches.
Acceleration, acceleration pressure, gyroscope and a cheaper GTR 2e model will also offer a temperature sensor. A practical aspect that can also affect your physical health is practical to monitor with a wrist watch.
The more expensive GTR 2 model, on the other hand, contains 4 GB of internal storage for your songs and, in addition to a microphone, a speaker, which means support for receiving calls on the watch.
Battery life
As far as the battery is concerned, in both cases an identical battery with a capacity of 471 mAh is available. It is charged with the magnetic tip in the package and charging takes 2,5 hours. However, the endurance per charge is already different in both cases.
The more expensive GTR 2 model will offer a total endurance of up to 14 days in standard mode of use. In the basic mode, which limits the selected functions to improve endurance, the endurance is up to 38 days. The manufacturer declares 6,5 days for above-standard use in high loads.
The GTR 2e model excels in this category. In standard mode it offers endurance for up to 24 days, in basic and limited mode then up to 45 days. The high load when using the watch will subsequently shorten the use to 12 days.
Price and availability
Amazfit GTR 2 are watches that you can find in the offer of well-known international retailers starting at around 140 € / 170 USD. They represent a more expensive alternative, which, however, also offers additional functions or premium steel processing.
