OnePlus has built a strong name during its existence. Last year's models of the seventh generation were again very popular among users.
The company is still developing new smartphones. Now it's the turn of OnePlus 8, whose specifications and photos have escaped and we will discuss them in detail.
Up to 3 smartphones are available
As we announced above, we expect the early arrival of OnePlus 8, but it will not come alone. There is also talk of the arrival of Lite and Pro versions. OnePlus used to release two smartphones a year - the first in the first half and the second phone in the second half.
Lite version with two sensors
Let's start easily with the version OnePlus 8 Lite. This Lite version should be the most affordable to the general public, as the adjective Lite suggests.
It could dominate the front 6,4 ″ display, there is also talk of a USB-C connector and the absence of an audio jack. There will also be the famous OnePlus switch on the side.
In the picture we can notice a relatively large display, which is flat without any major curvature. On the display there is a space for a selfie camera, which is located in the middle. The lite version also has a larger bottom frame.
There are only two sensors on the back, an LED flash, a depth sensor (ToF) and, as usual, the OnePlus logo with the company logo.
Basic "eight" version
The basic version looks a bit more premium. The smartphone already has a curved display at the edges and the cutout for the selfie camera is small and located on the left side.
We expect to use the AMOLED display, as was the case with OnePlus 7.
The back side this time offers us up to 3 sensors with LED flash, which are located in the middle. This layout is reminiscent of the previous generation. We have no further information about other specifications.
OnePlus 8 Pro with 120 Hz display
Finally OnePlus 8 Prowhich will be the most expensive with the best equipment. Very large with the basic version, but there are a few details that differ.
The front panel looks almost identical, the selfie camera again in a small expression on the left. The AMOLED display will definitely be used for the Pro version.
The back is less similar to the basic version. For the version, it offers us up to 4 sensors, an LED flash, and this time there is also a depth sensor.
On January 20, a photo of a smartphone leaking, which is extremely similar to the render shown above. Up to 120 Hz frequency, which the OP 8 Pro could have, can be seen in the settings.
This would mean a top-notch display, but certainly higher battery requirements. 90 Hz and 60 Hz can also be set.
Ambassador with the new OnePlus?
OnePlus's ambassador, Robert Downey Jr., was caught holding a smartphone in his hand. This smartphone is also very similar to the photos we have seen so far. It is very likely that it was a shooting of a commercial for OnePlus 8.
Date of arrival
At OnePlus, we used to expect new smartphones in May. OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro were launched on 14 May and, for example, the older OnePlus 6 was launched on 16 May.
A well-known "leaker" writes that the expected OnePlus 8 will arrive a month earlier than usual. According to him, OnePlus will arrive on or around April 14.

We see the use of 120 Hz in both the basic and Pro versions, which is great. Recently, the CEO of OnePlus published the difference between 60 Hz and 120 Hz on his twitter. We'll see if we'll see it in the Lite version, because that may change.
Price tags are not sure
Price tags, as always, are not certain until they are officially confirmed. This way we can only guess what they might be. The basic version could be priced similarly to OnePlus 7 and therefore start at around € 700.
The lite version will be more available and again with the Pro version we will have to pay extra, especially thanks to better cameras or batteries.
Super article.
