For many years, the online marketplace Aliexpress has undoubtedly been the most popular "market" for Chinese products even for Slovaks, who create thousands of orders through it every year. A while ago, the seller also pleased Europeans with a new selection of products that bears the name Aliexpress Choice.
It offers many advantages, including guaranteed delivery within 13-15 days from Chinese warehouses, but also free returns.
Aliexpress Choice is a new hit: How to return products?
We devoted ourselves to the selection of Aliexpress Choice products separately in last article. In short, it is a selection of products from the given segment that are available at a bargain price and with free shipping exclusively on AliExpress.com. Aliexpress selects these products from among thousands of items each time. The main advantages of buying a product marked with the Choice brand are as follows:
- Transportation: It is completely free including VAT and other fees and very fast, within 13 or 15 days from the Chinese warehouse. We owe this to our own logistics from Aliexpress itself and distribution centers in Europe.
- Goods reclaim: It is free. Thanks to the local network of supplier partners, you can return up to 3 products per month, within 15 days of delivery.
It will not be free without giving a reason
Today we will take a closer look at how to proceed in a situation where you want to return a product purchased as part of the Aliexpress Choice selection. First of all, it is necessary to establish the conditions under which "buyer protection", i.e. free return of the product, is possible. First of all applies only to products that arrive faulty, damaged, or in a different state or version than is described by the seller.
If this condition is not met, you can return the Choice product free of charge, but the transport is paid by the buyer, which can often exceed the cost of buying the product itself, since in the Choice selection Aliexpress selects mainly cheaper products up to the value of several tens of €. At the same time, buyer protection does not apply to the following categories of products:
- products damaged by the buyer himself
- personalized and custom-made products
- perishable items
- items unsuitable for return for hygiene or health reasons
At Chinaplanet.sk, we always try to choose only products from verified sellers, or those that have many positive reviews. Even in this case, however, it may happen that the product arrives defective due to a manufacturing error or is damaged during transport. In this situation, you can use Choice's seller protection, which will ensure you quick and easy return of the purchased product.
First, choose the one you want to return from among the delivered orders:
Select the "Returns/refunds" option to create a new refund request. Then choose whether the product was delivered to you and what kind of defect it has:
Choose the amount of money you want to return (product value). Then fill in your e-mail to send a return label and document a photo/video of the product and its defects along with a description. Then apply:
After the application is approved, you will receive a confirmation e-mail from Aliexpress and at the same time an e-mail with a label for returning the product. Print the label and stick it on the package with the wrapped product and everything that came with it. Then submit the package through any GLS ParcelShop:

You can then track your package in the application/website under the request itself. After delivery back to the seller, the money will be refunded within 10 working days using the method you used to pay for the order:
Final recommendations
If the price of the product is lower than the shipping price set by the seller, Aliexpress often will not even require the return of the product and will refund your money for a faulty product. In the case of more expensive products worth tens of €, the return of the product will be a condition of the refund. When packing the returned product, pay attention to the label itself with the return label. Besides, you are keep proof of sending the package, such as a confirmation of dispatch, so that, if necessary, it can be proven that the product has actually been returned.
In the editorial office, we have already returned several defective products as part of the Aliexpress Choice selection, and we can say that the return process is set up in the marketplace quite efficiently. The return transport will understandably not be as fast as towards the buyer, but by default to us the money arrived in the account within approximately 30 days from the initial submission of the return request, as long as we sent the product within the first few days after the label was issued.
Returning products through Aliexpress Choice can be a beneficial option for buyers, but it is important to keep the mentioned steps and recommendations in mind to make the entire return process as smooth and efficient as possible.
