Chinese manufacturer Meizu officially introduced its new flagship smartphones Meizu 18 a Meizu 18 Pro. They will also offer a high refresh rate of 120 Hz and a flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G processor. A big advantage is also the manufacturer's decision to offer the operating system without any ads or pre-installed third party applications

The basic model Meizu 18 offers 6,2 ″ AMOLED panel (Samsung AMOLED E4) with rounded gamenami. The display has a ratio of 20:9, a resolution of QHD+ (3200 x 1440 pixels), a high refresh rate of 120 Hz, a touch sampling rate of 240 Hz and a fineness of 563 ppi. There is a maximum brightness of 1300 nits and support for HDR 10+ technology.
The Meizu 18 Pro has a larger one 6,7 ″ AMOLED screen (Samsung AMOLED E4) with rounded gamenami. There is also a shot with a front camera, QHD+ resolution, a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a sampling rate of 240 Hz. Fineness is 526 ppi, brightness and support for HDR 10+ technology are identical.
The smaller of the pair measures 152,4 x 69,2 x 8,18 mm and weighs 162 grams. The larger Pro model measures 162,5 x 73 x 8,1 mm and weighs 189 grams. Both smartphones offer an ultrasonic fingerprint reader under the display. It offers the possibility to unlock the device with wet hands or under water.
In terms of performance, the devices have the same equipment. There is a flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G processor, 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The Meizu 18 will offer a 4000 mAh battery (+ 36W Super mCharge charging), while the Pro model has a larger 4500 mAh battery (+ 40W Super Wireless mCharge wireless charging).
Up to 8K video, Android 11 and DualSIM technology
The Meizu 18 will offer a front 20 MPx camera and the 18 Pro model, followed by a front 44 MPx Samsung GH1 camera. There is no support for AI portrait mode, backlit Selfie HDR mode or super night view, screen flash and face unlocking with the front camera.
On the back, the base model 18 contains three cameras. The main one has 64 MPx (Sony IMX682, f / 1.6) with support for optical stabilization. The main camera is also complemented by a 16 MPx ultra-wide macro lens and an 8 MPx telephoto lens + LED flash.
The higher model 18 Pro will offer a primary 50 MPx sensor (Samsung GN1, f / 1.9) with optical stabilization and autofocus. It is also complemented by a 32 MPx ultra-wide angle sensor (Sony IMX616) with a 130-degree angle of view, an 8 MPx telephoto lens and a 3D ToF sensor. It also offers better focus for the model in poor lighting conditions and can also record up to 8K video.
Meizu 18 and Meizu 18 Pro come with the Android 11 operating system and the Flyme OS 9 graphic superstructure. There is also OneMind 5.0 system optimization. These phones will also offer DualSIM functionality, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, dual GPS, NFC, touch mEngine 4.0 with a linear motor and a USB type C port. In addition, the 18 Pro model also offers resistance with IP 68 certification against dust and water.

News Meizu 18 a Meizu 18 Pro will be available in China as pre-orders in selected e-shops. We do not yet have information on the global availability of these models.
