Huawei is going through difficult times, but the company continues to launch new products. At least in its domestic Chinese market, where the company is stronger than ever.
It also patents new technologies, as can be seen, for example, in the recently published patent design. It shows the secondary display mounted next to the camera module in the back of the smartphone.
Secondary display on the back
Huawei's patent was discovered by the magazine LetsGoDigital. The Chinese telecommunications giant applied for a patent earlier this year, but did not publish it until August 14 CNIPA (Chinese National Intellectual Property Administration) after its approval.
The concept of this design is about integration of a small display in the camera module. The images from the documents show only the time, but other possible uses are also given in the detailed description.
In the first design, it looks like a series device Matewhen we can see the circular shape of the camera module. In the second and third designs, it looks like a smartphone from the main P series.
In terms of design, the smartphone has a square curved display as well as a series Huawei P40, but without any shooting or notch.
We will not find any element on the upper edge. On the right side there is a lock button and a volume control. The lower part has USB C connector, along with a speaker grille on both sides.

Speaking of the location of the secondary display, the first design is symmetrical with the display in the middle of the back of the device, lining it four cameras. While in the other two versions, the module is located in the upper left corner of the rear panel, with the secondary display at the top and bottom.
