Chinese Huawei does not hesitate and continues with innovations in the world of smartphones and brings the first trifold model with a label Huawei Mate XT.

The smartphone offers only one screen, which makes it flexible LTPO YOU ARE panel, with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and supports 10 billion colors. Its full resolution is 3 x 184 pixels, and scales to 2 x 232 and 2 x 232 pixels depending on stacking configuration.
Huawei calls this panel "3K" and positions it as an intermediate solution between 2K (QHD) and 4K (UHD). The ratio of the screen to the body of the device is also excellent, up to 92%, and the aspect ratio is 16:11. The manufacturer also claims that it improves the display itself with the help of AI algorithms.
50 MPx camera, variable aperture, laser focusing
The rear camera module resembles the foldable Mate X5 model, but also includes the functions of the Pura flagship line or "P". The primary sensor has 50 MPx, PDAF focusing, optical stabilization, and variable aperture f/1.4-f/4.0. It also has a 12 MPx telephoto lens with 5,5x zoom and a 12 MPx ultra-wide-angle camera, complete with a laser autofocus module.
Inside, on the display, there is also an opening for the front camera, which has a resolution of 8 MPx.
Hinge system Huawei Mate XT it is named after the Tiangong Space Station. It will enable dual bending using two movable hinges, for both external and internal composition with zero gap. The hinge is made of composite laminate materials, with high resistance.
Huawei says the single-screen mode is ideal for everyday tasks, including chatting. Dual screen mode is optimized for web browsing and text reading. The fully extended three-screen mode is good for detailed work, studying or watching multimedia.
AI functions, Harmony OS and 5600 mAh battery
At the same time, the large screen increases the productivity of tools such as e-mail, financial management, multitasking, as well as applications based on AI algorithms.
However, Huawei did not specify whether these integrated AI tools are based on cloud services or run directly on the device. At the moment, we don't even know the processor used, but we expect an up-to-date and powerful flagship chip. The portal gsmarena.com lists the use of the chip Kirin 9010 (7 nm). The operating system is Harmony OS 4.2. It is a system based on AOSP package (Android Open Source Project), but without the availability of Google services. A key feature available only in the Chinese market is two-way satellite communication, which only works with Tiantong satellites, via the China Telecom operator.
The integrated accumulator consists of three silicon-carbide composite cells. The total capacity stopped at the level of 5600 mAh. In addition, the device also supports fast wired charging with a power of up to 66 W, fast wireless charging with a power of up to 50 W, as well as wireless reverse charging with a power of 7,5 W or 5 W.

However, it is unlikely that Huawei will release its trifold smartphone outside of China. The last international release of the foldable device, the Mate X3, took place 18 months ago. Since then, Huawei has preferred to release its devices on the domestic market, even through political reasons.
