This is confirmed by a list from a renowned CEO, who also listed other well-known models such as the OnePlus 8T Pro, Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro or Lenovo Legion. These smartphones are still waiting for their launch date.
New Mate series with 120 Hz
Later this year, more precisely in October, the arrival of the new Huawei Mate 40 series is expected. Together with it, a new generation foldable smartphone with a smoother 120 Hz display could also arrive. The predecessor had "only" 90 Hz.

Ross Young, founder and CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC), posted information on the presence of the higher refresh rate panel on his Twitter. First, he brought a list of all the devices with 120 Hz displays for 2020.
Other well-known models are also listed
Later, however, he modified this list, where he also appeared Huawei Mate X2. We can then see other interesting, as yet unlisted models, such as the OnePlus 8T Pro, Lenovo Legion, Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro or Samsung Galaxy Fold 2.
Another important piece of information is the fact that in the latest the list is missing Huawei Mate 40, which was in the first. This probably confirms that the folding Mate X2 will be the higher model of 2020 with a 120 Hz display.
We don't know anything about the other specifications regarding the Huawei Mate X2, but we can expect the latest 5 nm chipset from the Kirin 1000 series.
What do you think about folding smartphones? Do you see a real use in them? In the future, we can expect more and more models from several manufacturers, as the technology of production of durable displays is also moving.
