The light comes in a compact box divided into 4 parts. Govee cares about packaging, which can be seen with this lamp. The composition is very simple. The metal parts just need to be connected using the plates and the included screws with a hand screwdriver. The package contains everything you need to assemble, and you don't need to have anything at home.
After screwing the metal parts, it is only necessary to attach the silicone LED strip. First, you need to connect the connector on the lower part, and then fasten the belt on the lower and upper parts, move to the middle and apply it smoothly downwards and upwards. Everything is listed in the manuals. After proper application, the silicone strip fits perfectly into the grooves.
The package also includes a power adapter, the lamp is directly connected to the control unit with a button, and you will find traditional cards with tips for use from Govee.

The aluminum structure of the light with a height of 136 cm and a base width of 20 cm is light but strong and is available in 2 colors: silver or black. We got the silver color for the test and it is really beautiful. Its design is of really high quality, all parts fit together as they should and the structure is solid when the screws are tightened thoroughly.

We use the Govee application on the iPhone 15 Pro and it works without any problems, during the month of use it did not happen to us that the application crashed or had any bugs. In this regard, our manufacturer has a huge plus.
RGBIC technology from Govee
Govee corner lamp uses, unlike RGB, technology RGBIC, which uses an advanced IC (Independent Control) chip. It enables display 57 colors on one strip at the same time and independent control up to 14 segments integrated strip at once.

Finding a compromise between gaming equipment and standard household equipment is often difficult, especially for gamers who don't have a dedicated room for it. The Govee RGBIC floor lamp is a solution that offers all lighting styles in one package.
The light from Govee can fully replace even a classic lamp, because it can shine in different temperatures of white, specifically in the range from 3300 K, which is warm white, to 4300 K, which is cool white.
However, the biggest advantage of this lamp is its application and different color scenes. Thanks 58 default scene mode you have a lot to choose from when it comes to setting a suitable atmosphere, for example also when gaming.
Govee has a perfect application and also supports voice assistants
While the preset scenes are interesting, you can get creative and create your own in the DIY section of the app. You can control the lamp with the application Govee Home, integrate into the smart home in Google Home or control with voice instructions with support GoogleAlexa a Crab, and thus change the colors and light modes to match your current mood.
Synchronization with music
Similar to traditional lamps, smart light can brighten up a space, although larger spaces may require two or more lamps. One of the things we were looking forward to when testing this floor lamp was the integration with DreamView technology and our smart TV LED strip Govee TV Backlight T2. This is the connection of several lamps in one room so that they synchronize the colors together. When the movie mode on the TV strip is turned on, this means that the lamp will complement the colors of the given segment.

We placed the lamp to the right of the TV, so if there is a blue color just to the right of the TV, the floor lamp will also shine blue. In this way, basically all possible directions can be set in the application. If you have some Govee hexa panels placed above the screen, you can also add them there.
The DreamView mode itself has its own settings, where you can specify in which mode the lights should be lit. Since the Govee RGBICW lamp has segment control, these segments can be selected when setting up the lamp.

If you are looking for a compact lighting solution for your home, which can do some smart things in addition to normal lighting, the Govee RGBICW Floor Lamp Basic is definitely a hit. We really like its silver minimalist design with a silicone LED strip inside. We rate the shorter power cable as a slight negative.
DreamView is a very strong functionality from the manufacturer and, as we already mentioned in the review of the TV strip, it is the biggest added value of the manufacturer, apart from the high quality of processing, of course.
