Display and design processing
The most expensive of the three, the model Amazonfit GTS 2 offers a rounded aluminum body and a 1,65 ″ rugged (9H) AMOLED display modeled after its predecessor. The same panel with 2,5D protective glass then contains a cheaper model Amazfit GTS 2nd. The fineness of this display, which is 341 ppi, is also preserved.
However, a compromise comes in the smallest models Amazfit GTS 2 Mini. It will offer only 1,55 ″ AMOLED panel, which, however, has a lower fineness at the level of only 301 ppi. However, this model wins in weight. Thanks to the plastic underside, it is just over 19 grams.
Connectivity
In terms of connectivity, the GTS 2 model is the best equipped, which includes Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi standard 6. However, the GTS 2e and GTS 2 Mini models contain at least Bluetooth version 5.0. With the exception of the smallest GTS 2 Mini, support for GPS + GLONASS technology is also available.
In addition to the integrated microphone, the GTS 2 is the only model to offer a loudspeaker and 4 GB of internal memory. This allows you to not only receive calls through the watch, but also copy your favorite songs to the watch's storage.
As in the previous generation, the watch contains an NFC chip, but it can only be used for payments via the Chinese Alipay service. In Europe, you won't pay with a watch. In addition, the connection to the mobile phone is secured via the well-known Zepp application.
Fitness features, oxygen and sleep monitoring
The GTS 2 and GTS 2e watches offer a choice of up to 90 monitored sports activities, while you can choose up to six with their automatic recognition. The GTS 2 Mini model then contains more than 70 sports activities.
The most expensive GTS 2 model will also offer an SpO2 sensor for monitoring oxygen in the blood. The GTS 2e watch is then the only one with a temperature sensor. The whole three then support sleep monitoring, there is no lack of an ambient light sensor and an acceleration or air pressure sensor.
Battery life
In terms of battery life, the GTS 2 will offer 7 days in normal mode, 20 days in basic and limited mode, and 3,5 days on a single charge under heavy load. The integrated battery has a capacity of 246 mAh.
The GTS 2e model has no Wi-Fi connectivity and has fewer sensors, which offers endurance in normal mode for 14 days, in basic and limited mode for 24 days and at high load for 7 days on a single charge. The battery also has a capacity of 246 mAh.
The smallest GTS 2 Mini model also has a smaller battery with a capacity of 220 mAh. Normal mode offers 14 days, basic and limited mode 21 days, and high load mode offers 7 days on a single charge. The whole three hours are then charged with a magnetic tip for about 2 hours.
Price and availability of watches
The most expensive but best equipped model is Amazonfit GTS 2. The price of this watch is currently around 152 at international retailers € / USD 185.
The model is more affordable and with a minimum of compromises Amazfit GTS 2nd. It will offer the same AMOLED display and even a temperature sensor. The watch is not officially on sale yet, but its recommended price for the global version is 129 € / USD 157.
