Since July 2021, when a new law on third-country VAT shipments came into force in Europe, Chinese retailers in particular have been able to adapt incredibly quickly. They have perfected their transport channels to perfection, thanks to which we can continue to enjoy very convenient and now carefree shopping from China.
This also applies to the world-famous Aliexpress marketplace, which continues to surprise us. Our latest experience with orders proves it.
11 orders in one big package!
Since the new VAT law applies, many people are afraid of ordering from China. The reason is the fear of customs fees, which can make orders more expensive. However, you can safely throw these concerns behind you, because Aliexpress has perfected its transport from Chinese warehouses.
We have recently placed several orders in this marketplace, namely 11, several of which came from different vendors. Orders included cables, covers and protective glasses for phones as well as watches, a shower head and other cheap gadgets. They arrived in one huge package and even by courier. We did not pay any additional customs duties.
Charm is in the new "Combined Delivery" service
This is thanks to a new service "Combined Delivery", ie combined transport. It is important to choose any transport called Aliexpress (e.g. Aliexress Standard Shipping) or Cainiao (e.g. Cainiao Super Economy).
Aliexpress will combine such orders in its European distribution center and deliver them as one large unit. Delivery takes longer, but the package is delivered by courier and no customs duties are paid! Specifically, our package looked like it was sent from Budapest. This is probably where one of the distribution centers is located.
Aliexpress informed us about combined transport for specific orders. We received notifications through the application with information on which orders are part of this service, and we also had a common tracking number for the courier.

In this case, delivery takes a little longer, as Aliexpress waits for all the packages to be delivered to its center, then packs them together and then delivers them. In our case, it was about 1 month. The undeniable advantage, however, is the fact that orders will come to the door of your house by courier and especially without any customs duties. Longer waiting is definitely worth it.
Finally, we'll just add one more tip: We have already tested that we did not have to pay customs duties for these shipments, even if it was a package with only one order. In any case, we highly recommend choosing a transport called Aliexpress or Cainiao.

Delivered by courier today - 3 bales in one. Total for 11 €. I chose something Aliexpress, something Cainiao. Delivery less than 3 weeks.
So my orders were combined. But the package I received had e individual packages addressed to SOMEONE ELSE! My orders were not there. And I've had a hell of a time trying to deal with Aliexpress as you only seem to be able to dispute SELLERS, not the package REPACKAGER!

The combined delivery is a disaster. Single packages arrive while combined do not arrive at all. Sellers try to convince customers just need to be patient and have to go the the postoffice while they don't understand that the postman will do the enddelivery here in The Netherlands. The link pointing to the KAAB website does not make sense, none of the packages starting with NL0000 cannot be traced at all. By the way, everything is handled as common post so trackandtrace makes no sense. The Polish company KAAB should transfer the packages to the Dutch PostNL. The last also does not know what's going on and have the same answer, untraceable.
So the delivery process between KAAB and PostNL is the bottleneck and surprisingly nobody from the AliExpress logistic management department takes action to investigate the failing matter.
All this is happening in the age of automation and high-tech.
Hi, I don't have a very good experience with combined delivery. I ordered a few things and I received one package with about three orders, but I missed one order and the most expensive one (about 54 €). I immediately contacted the seller, but he did not acknowledge it, because it showed as delivered, although I sent him a photo that his goods could not come in that package, as it consisted of several boxes and would not fit in one combined package. I also opened a case for aliexpress, as they solved it for maybe 2 months and finally rejected it…. So neither the goods nor the money. According to mma, definitely the best each package separately:)
