Popular Chinese brand OnePlus today, in addition to its new flagship smartphone, it also launched its new generation graphics superstructure called OxygenOS 13. It is intended for the global market, is built on the Android 13 operating system, and in addition to design changes, it also brings various functional improvements. We will reveal more in our article today.
OxygenOS 13: Android 13 is the inspiration
At the show OnePlus 10T the OnePlus company has already revealed to us some news related to the superstructure OxygenOS 13. This add-on will arrive with an update to the Android 13 operating system, while the public beta version for the OnePlus 10 Pro will be available for download soon. As for the changes, the manufacturer promises new functions and a better user experience.
OnePlus talks first of all about the new environment design. It is inspired by water and has the label "Aquamorphic Design". The user interface is characterized by a relatively soft and rounded gamenami for a slightly more pleasant viewing experience. The manufacturer describes this change as the coexistence of form and function.
In addition to these changes in the distribution of elements, we can also notice changes in the system colors. They gradually darken over time and during the day. Also new is the "Always-On Display" mode, which brings different designs together with basic information on the screen that is turned off. This mode now also supports Spotify or Bitmoji app integration.
Security, improved launcher and Sidebar Toolbox
This mode, like the entire user interface, maintains a simple layout of elements and a minimalist design. The launcher itself is also improved. The latter now offers the option of launching applications directly from a folder, without having to open the folder. You will also be pleased with the simpler and faster addition of widgets or the so-called "widgets" to the home screen.
The function is also new Sidebar Toolbox, which you can recognize from the well-known graphic superstructure coloros from the workshop of the Oppo brand. This extension works in such a way that you can add applications or actions to the relevant bar for quick launch with a single click. You can then slide this bar out from the side edge of the display.
Among other functions, we can mention the support of surround sound with technology Dolby Atmos or a software switch to smoothly change the sound between several Bluetooth headphones. There is also the function Share nearby, as well as streaming applications or sharing the display of your OnePlus smartphone with devices with ChromeOS near you.
The manufacturer has also thought about the security improvements found within Android 13. In addition, the company has announced a feature Private Safe 2.0, which secures data, documents or multimedia in a virtual safe. These files are protected and cannot be run by any application.
